We understand the importance of early childhood education as the foundation for a lifetime of learning. One of our goals at Room to Grow is to ensure every child who completes the program is ready to start Kindergarten with flying colors.
In addition to emphasizing classroom skills, we spend time working on cooperation and team work, being kind and respectful of one another and practical life skills.
Each week we explore a theme that
incorporates our learning goals through fun and interactive activities. The theme is reflected in
the books we read, the songs we sing, our art projects and classroom discussions. The goal of this integrated way of teaching is to allow children to make connections about the topic and it’s relation
to their world.
We acknowledge the importance of imaginative play for brain development and creativity. Our students have the opportunity to explore the classroom, music room and play areas at the beginning and the end of each school day. Options include sensory
tables, dramatic play, reading corner, creative arts, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.
